Black Bear Sightings
Notice from the BBR Lake Association Security Committee: there have been a couple of recent instances of black bear sightings in the area of our lakes. In late August, a small cub was seen running along Ch. du Lac Ruthledge, and then turned north into the woods on David Aitken’s property. In early September, both a mother bear and her cub were seen on the Bob’s Lake road, roughly near the hill behind Grant Viau’s property. Advice on what to do, should you encounter a black bear yourself, is available from the province here: https://mffp.gouv.qc.ca/english/wildlife/wildlife-habitats/pdf/ours.pdf
