corrections were needed. Francois Leclerc moved to accept the minutes, seconded

Treasurer’s Report
Marie France provided a breakdown of the Association’s budget. An explanation of
the expenses was given such as maintenance on our roads as well as the usual
banking expenses for the association. Our insurance is our highest expense along
with the yearly BBQ. Discussion on potentially needing more of a reserve for road
maintenance. Action: Francois to update Marie France’s address on our website as
they have moved.
Environment
Water testing: Water testing has changed this year. We are doing 1 test on each
lake during the months of June, July & August in order to get a better picture of the
health of our lakes over the summer months. An aquatic specialist from the area can
come and host an information session in October if there is interest. A photo of
organic material was shown to the specialist and it wasn’t of any concern. Journal de
Montreal has an article that ranks the cleanliness of lakes in our area. Action 1:
Francois to add the link to the website. Action 2: invite the specialist to a meeting in
October. A discussion was had about the water levels, is it due to the extreme heat or
beaver dams
Roads
In 2024, the grader did a great job spreading gravel on the roads. Jean Louis was
thanked for his help with his tractor. There will be 2-3 loads of gravel added to Lac
Bob in both directions. There is a plan to have gabion baskets installed on Lac Bob
near the creek in 2026. Grant motioned to increase the summer road fees from $60
to $100 indefinitely. Konrad seconded the motion. Motion passed by residents that
pay road fees. Grant will call the municipality to get the large pot holes filled at the 4
way intersection on chemin Gerad Joanisse.
Security
No security or theft issues were reported. The local volunteer firefighters came
around to visit cottages who were willing to have their fire alarms and fire
extinguishers inspected. They stated that we all need at least a 5lb ABC style
extinguisher. Please reference our BBR website for new information. Jean Louis was
thanked for doing security rounds daily.
Website
Francois adds announcements and water test results as they come in.
Action: add Dave Mayer for snow removal to our website.
Varia
Be a good neighbor and pet owner and respect the municipalities by-laws for noise
and leashes on dogs. If you need to contact La Peche’s animal by-law (Anitek).
A new front entrance sign will be created & installed by Grant this fall.
Adam to clean up the bridge of debris.
