Cottage Community Living

Whether it is lending a missing tool or providing a helping hand, stopping by for a chat or sharing a joke on the dock, our wonderful BBR neighbours greatly add to the enjoyment of our cottage experience. And after such a challenging year of social distancing, it is wonderful to finally reconnect.

A special thank you goes out to our excellent neighbours who generously checked on our properties during periods of travel restrictions. Your assurance that all was safe and sound was so greatly appreciated. Thank you to all of our community who were, and continue to be, our eyes and ears when we are away.

An important part of cottage community living is the respect of boundaries, including private property. The old adage goes “it is better to ask for forgiveness than for permission”. But in reality, asking for permission prior to accessing a neighbours’ land goes a long way in maintaining goodwill. This is something to keep in mind as together we enjoy the last vestiges of summer and look forward to the splendour of fall ahead.
