Year End Message

To all BBR Association members

2021 is rapidly coming to an end, and despite the pandemic situation that significantly impaired our actions, your BBR Association slowly resumed its activities.

In 2021, your contribution enabled us to :

– Have our annual picnic and Annual General Meeting which were on hold for 2020;

– Widening and tree pruning of Lac-Bob road to facilitate access and winter maintenance;

• Installation of a new lock box for immediate access to emergency services such as fire department and first respondents.

– Hire a trapper to capture beavers which were severly causing damage to properties on  Bob Lake.

– Cover our financial obligations including our Liability Insurance and annual registration fees to the Registre des entreprises du Québec (Québec enterprise register)

Ans it’s not over!

In 2022 we will continue to raise your concerns and needs to municipal, provincial and federal authorities as needed. We are actually looking at the possibility to benefit from the provincial (Québec) Green Fund Program, throught the Municipality of LaPêche, so we could get funding to proceed with an environmental analysis of our lakes that would provide us recommendations to better protect the quality of our environement and water.  The owners’ association of Gauvreau Lake in Masham have successfully participated in this program and their positive results have been identified as examples for other lakes in the Municipality of LaPêche. We hope that our application to the Green Fund could help us finance our expensive water testing activities which are due for 2022 and provide us with professional guidance specific to our needs to identify potential deficiencies and provide recommendations to ensure a strong protection of our environment over the future years. 

Our mission is clear: prevent pollution of our lakes and the surrounding environment, while assisting our members to protect their properties, support their interests and promoting social activities .
