Beavers

In the past few years, there have been issues with beaver dams at the end of Lac Ruthledge, which cause level of the lake to rise.  They have been a nuisance and we have occasionally gone to clear some of the wood away to lower the level of the lake.  We will be contacting the Quebec Ministry of the Environment to come up with longer term solution such as beaver proof culverts.  Note that anything we do will need to be approved by the Ministry of the Environment as beavers are a protected species.
